Here is the first aim of 2011. Troll Wall in winter. The face is Europe’s tallest wall and notorious for loose rock and serious routes. The line I’ve chosen is on the left side of the face on one of the steepest and most compact aspects of the face called Suser gjennom Harryland. This line has never had a winter ascent and that will be my aim on this trip.
On top of the logistics of climbing this huge face in winter there is the slight issue of the 1900 mile drive just to get there. In all its a huge undertaking and is going to require massive amounts of effort and commitment.
I’ve been lucky enough to receive some assistance from Berghaus towards some of the costs for this trip but if anyone is interested in assisting me further please email me to discuss the benefits.
